Hello everyone!

Peeps and friends alike! This last week has been a bit of a whirlwind. I’ve not been able to do much at all, due to having to watch over my roommate’s little one for a few days after their returning from their trip down south, so it’s more or less been a pretty impromptu vacation for me over the holidays, I suppose. You could look at it that way, at the very least!

Still, it is New Year’s Eve and tomorrow begins a brand new year, full of potential and interesting things to do! And I’ve got quite a few things planned, let me tell you!

As you can see, things are full up but we’ve got a plan so we’re going to go after it!

My goal for this year is to go the entire year without missing a weekly update of Various Happenings or The Adventures Of Clara Cosmos. Once I can stabilize myself there and get ahead on things, my ultimate goal is to have project updates on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday (given that they’re odd days that not many things update on, and also not generally days I’m streaming or doing things.) Lofty as it might be, I have a lot of things that I want to do and I aim to get them moving. No more stalling!

I’m also going to knock out my remaining commissions this month, hell or high water. I only have a few left, then I can pull the rest one at a time from the forms, so let’s get that done.

I was a little harried and things kind of fell apart at the end of the year there, and I’m feeling a little sickly (I probably caught what my roommate’s had,) but mentally at least, I feel like I’ve recovered a bit now, and I’m going to be able to do better heading forward. We’re almost there, so there’s no point in even thinking about quitting now!

This year is going to be a big one for us, and the comics as well. I really want to transition to doing those as my main thing so I can finally share their stories proper.

Heya fox friends!

A Blessed Yuletide, Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to you and yours for whatever winter celebration you have. I am currently enjoying my relaxation for the holiday, so this will be a brief notice. I'll be taking the first part of the week off for Christmas, naturally, to rest and enjoy myself. I've been very stressed about trying to complete all the things I set out to do, and I was just working myself into a tizzy.

It's very easy to forget that you need to rest and take care of yourself to do your best work, you can't just work all the time or you'll just crash and burn. It's hard to remember in the thick of it, but when you finally do get out and about and have a moment to yourself, it becomes pretty obvious what you were doing wrong.

So, I'll be relaxing for a bit. Next year is going to be big, and I want to be in tip top shape for it. I'll probably do one last SotS before the year is out on Friday, and then we'll hit everything with gusto starting in January.

Howdy peeps!

So! Had my by-week! It wasn’t as relaxing as I’d hope it’d be, my sleep has been a bit difficult, but I did get a few strips into my buffer for Clara Cosmos, which I’m really happy about. I still need to finish more by the end of the month, but I’ll do my best to get things there. I still have the same few items left on my commission list, so that hasn’t changed, but I’ve got three weeks until the end of the year, so we’ll see what happens. My plan is to finish, and get going.

I want to get started in the beginning of January, but I’m not going to jump in if I don’t have any buffer at all. It’s going to take a bit of work to finish everything before New Years’, but I think I can do it, I just need to take care of myself, focus, and kick some ass.

Heyo peepos!

So last week was a little rough and I’m a little out of it, so I’ll be taking my by-week this week in order to work on projects and refresh myself!  I won’t be streaming for most of the week, though I might step in for Sketch on the Spot on Friday.  We’ll see, but I’ll announce it on the Discord if I’m going to do it.  

I apologize for not doing the Growth Drive this week, as well, for basically the same reason.  It’s just been super hard to focus, and I’ve been somewhat ill, so my ability to get stuff done has been somewhat hampered.

Only five more items to go!  I’m doing my level best to get through these big projects, and hopefully I can get over the hump and knock these all out before the end of the year.  I’m hoping to at least make some good on my buffer as well (at least a month or so) before I start up the comics again.  It’s been a little touch and go, I know, and I haven’t done as well as I’d hoped, but I know I can do it.

I’ve been trying (and failing somewhat) to take better care of myself recently, and clean up things around the site as well.  I’ve got a few plans for next year, and a few things I want to accomplish, including building up the gallery and getting into a creatively productive place.

I did get a new monitor and a new keyboard, as well as more RAM for my computer recently, paid for by Sketch on the Spot and a couple donations for the Growth Drive, so I’m happy about that.

Just need to replace my tablet (which I’m almost ready to do) and get a printer now, and I’ll be good to go for future projects.  There are a few other items I’d like, but they’re less important or secondary.

I’ll try and have Round 2 for the Growth Drive out on Tuesday or Thursday, and I’ll see if I can’t get lineart done for some comics this week.  Those are my goals.  Next week things will be back to normal and we’ll slam out some of the work I owe.

We’ve had a little more progress on several pieces last week, along with another one that I was able to get checked off!  

Heading into December, my main goal for the month is to finish the list, and at least have a month buffer for both the comics by the beginning of the new year.  While I would love to have a proper three month buffer like I had hoped, if things continue to get stretched out then it might not happen, but I really want to begin again by the new year.  So, I’ll take what I can get, just to get the ball rolling.  It’s most important that the commissions be finished, after all.

Sketch on the Spot has been lovely, and it’s really helped finance this push over the last month!  This week, I’m going to be doing clean-ups for sketches from SotS, so if you’ve gotten anything, you can get it finished for the price difference between that and a colored sketch ($40).  I’m going to be opening up a thread in my Discord for people to submit the ones they want me to take care of, on or off stream, and I’ll work on those on this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (maybe not for the whole streams, but we’ll see how many upgrades there are total before I decide it one way or another.)  This will be another boost, and hopefully can facilitate everything else that's going on without too much worry.

In more normal news, it snowed today!  And while it hasn’t stuck yet, it was rather delightful.  The first serious snow I’ve seen in a long time, and I am very much looking forward to winter’s calmness this year.

Heya peeps!

Well, last week was a bit rough!  I was sick for most of it and kind of out of it in general, which means I didn’t get much done… on task, at least.  I’m sure you all saw what I did get done, but was kind of on a lark, so I’ll try to stay on task this week.  (I tend to just do whatever makes me feel better during those times, and I was getting frustrated with work (commissions, the growth drive, etc.) so I didn’t make much progress with that.)

We’ll take care of that this week, though; I’ve been doing much better and I feel better than I did physically and mentally, so we’ll make sure to get some stuff slammed out and get a move on with things.  (This month has been a bit rough in general for that.)

I had planned on working on the growth drive but I got toasted pretty early in the week, so I’ll be adding everything from this week’s views and such to the totals (it won’t change much), and since I closed the poll early, Subscribers who want to add their points for the first week who didn’t get a chance can just PM me, or choose the option from the next poll when it’s released.  (But I was going to do that anyway, so that doesn’t really change anything, either.)

I apologize for the delay, but tripping straight out of the gate is so very much like me, so let’s just get past it and carry on!  I’ll work on it during a stream or two this week, and make sure it gets done.

We’re still sitting at seven pieces, most of which are in some stage of completion.  While I don’t expect to finish everything by the end of the month, I hope to, at least, knock out two things by the end of the week.

By the end of the year, I hope to have everything finished, and enough of a buffer on my comics to begin regular updates at the new year.  I was hoping by the end of November, but being sick kind of put a damper on that.

This week, of course, is Thanksgiving, so I’ll be taking Thursday off, but the MWF streams should continue as usual.  Sketch on the Spot has been a great success and I will continue refining it a bit (I’m going a tad overboard, as usual, so I want to streamline a bit and get more pieces out so that more people get a shot each week.)  Hopefully once I get settled in, everything will start to go a bit more smoothly.

I’ll see about updating the Discount Bin and adjusting things here and there to make them more SotS friendly as well, and the SotS Backlog Stream will be on the 27th of November (one week from tomorrow) so if anyone wants to get their sketches from this month cleaned up, lemme know.

Hey there, peeps!

Well I have to say last week went rather well!  SotS was a success and I’ll be doing my best to keep it up so that I can build up funds for new equipment and such!  

My current rig is getting a bit rough around the edges and I seriously need to replace my tablet and monitor, at the very least, so I’m building up for that, along with saving for the printer.

I’m also doing a Growth Drive, which I’m sure you’ve seen, so check that out if that’s your thing.  Even if you don’t want to/can’t donate or aren’t subscribed, just peeking in to join the fun is appreciated.

We completed a fair few things this week, and we’ve gotten close to finishing off quite a few others!

This week was also very good for comic work, as I’ve scripted a fair few Clara Cosmos comics and have the buffer for both comics scripted out completely!  I got a bit more blocked out in Various Happenings as well and am progressing toward the lineart stage fairly soon, so I’m hoping everything will coalesce heading towards the new year!

There’s a lot going on, and the holidays are coming up but it’s all very exciting and I’m trying to keep myself as busy as possible so that I can hit next year as hard as possible.

This week, my roommate Dicy is going out of town on business and will be away until Friday, so in order to help with Tigre and the little one, I’m not going to be streaming until Friday for SotS.  I’ll be working on stuff off stream, but I need to be available to help with the little one and such, since Dicy won’t be there to do stuff as he usually would, but he’ll be coming back sometime Friday evening, so I feel as though SotS should be able to continue unabated. 

That’s what’s going on right now.  I’ve been a bit sick lately, with a sore throat and some sinus trouble, but I’ve been trying to take it easy and take care of myself, and hopefully it won’t last too long!

We’re heading towards winter-time and things are moving along! One and a half months into my “year of self-investment” and already we’re down to eight items left on the list and some serious progress towards my comic buffer! It seems like it’s been longer than that, but no, there’s just been a lot going on.

Anzu: Assorted Occurances [Not Yet Issued]

We’re almost done with Anzu’s set, just a little more now and some clean-up. The Conception Foundation comics I have in the works have been sitting for a bit due to my muse being reluctant. Hopefully I’ll get the inkling to cut loose on them pretty soon. I’ll do my best either way, but my stream watchers had been rather swamped in that for a bit, and I wanted to give them a break, too.

Speaking of streams, though, starting this week I’ll be, once again, doing Sketch on the Spot on Fridays! Come in, relax, and get a pic drawn! It’s that simple!

Rules work the same as they did, with some minor adjustments:

1. Join the Discord server! To do so you either have to apply via a form that I’ll open up at the end of every month, ask me directly (providing I’m familiar with you; I won’t let you in if I have no idea who you are) or get someone in the server to vouch for you. Alternatively, you can join our SubscribeStar (for as little as a dollar!) and automatically get an invite to the discord server. [You must be 18 or older to apply.]

2. Ask to be on the List! PM me or ask me in chat, and I’ll put you on the list for your spot.

3. Wait for the Announcement! I usually stream starting around 9AM CST, and I will generally make an announcement about 30 minutes to an hour in advance. You can get the Stream Subscriber role to be alerted whenever I make these announcements.

4. Let Me Know that You’re Ready! Post in the appropriate channel/thread that you’re here and ready. Let me know what you’re planning on getting, and I’ll consult the list and ping the people at the top, going in order for whoever is around.

5. Sit Back and Enjoy! I’ll stream the pictures on my Jottor and you can hang out and chat, or just watch and enjoy the doodling!

6. Give Money, Get Picture! Once it’s done, I’ll invoice you and once it’s paid, I’ll dropbox/PM you the picture! And just like that, art! Once your piece is done, I’ll move your name to the bottom of the list and you’ll slowly work your way back to the top as people’s pieces get finished. (You don’t have to make it all the way to the top of course, it just depends on who shows up.) [Any outstanding invoices will preclude further pictures until they’re paid.]

Each slot will be $20 USD and be good for one (1) character sketch with limited flat color. If you want a piece cleaned up, then you can ask for it when I have an open slot for standard commissions, and pay the difference in price at that time.

I’m hoping this will give a chance for people to commission me more and maintain some income, while not dramatically increasing my workload and preventing me from working on Various Happenings or Clara Cosmos as large commission numbers have done in the past. I’m going to try and do it on Fridays, but I might do an extra one early on in the week now and again, so that people who can’t usually catch it will be able to now and again.

I will still be knocking out the forms that are sitting in my files soon enough, after the current group is taken care of, of course.

I’ll be starting that on this Friday, though next week (Nov. 13 to Nov. 17) I will not be streaming at all due to my roommate being out of town on business, and having to help their wife take care of their child for the week (they’re quite a handful!)

Other than that, things are just going! Nothing more to report, I hope you all had a spooktacular Halloween, a reflective Samhain, and are enjoying the fall weather.

Those of you in the US, don’t forget to vote on Tuesday! It’s an off season year, but local and municipal elections are still very important and perhaps affect you the most directly! So go vote!

Hey there, fox friends! Alright! Got a little bit of time off last week and was able to celebrate my roommate’s birthday, get some nice time in the park, and look at some thrift shops and such! It was good! I’m feeling pretty nice! Last week was a little low impact.

Got some project work done, but mostly I took it easy, save for the stream on Friday where we chipped away at the commission list.

As y’all can see, hasn’t moved much, everything is still in a state of being worked on, though a few of them are really close.  I’m going to try and nail down a few of the large pieces this week and see if I can finally get those off my list.

I’ve also got a couple that are getting pretty close to done, so hopefully, the plan is that by the end of November, the list is going to be finished, and hopefully the buffer for Various Happenings and Clara will be complete or almost done as well.

Three months of updates for two comics, plus all my commissions, in three months is pretty damn good, honestly!  But that’s very ambitious, and we’ll see if it happens.  I won’t be broken up if it doesn’t, but I’m hoping that things will continue moving forward at the pace that they have been.

Work on the site has been proceeding as well, and I’ve been working on the gallery and a few other things behind the scenes.

Obviously there’s a lot to be done, and I’ve got a lot of old work that needs to be scanned and uploaded as well.

Still, we’re trucking along well, and I hope that things wrap up nicely soon.

Not much else to say, really.  Just the usual, keeping on keeping on.

I’ll have a little announcement next week, hopefully punctuated by a smaller list, but we’ll get to that when we do.  This week I’ll probably do some spooky Halloweeny themed stuff for the stream on Monday (maybe Tuesday, too, we’ll see how I feel) and then continue on the rest of the week like normal.
