Hello everyone!
Some... interesting things going on so we’ll get down to business.
First thing’s first, due to recent changes in the terms of service over at Paypal as well as their less than… scrupulous treatment of their customers as of late, I will, in accordance with Paypal’s terms of service, be discontinuing my use of their service on the 17th of October, 2022.
Now as far as what that means for my customers going forward, I don’t know. Hopefully doing transactions with Stripe, which I am switching over to, via the invoicing system will largely be the same and not really an issue for my customers. Though Stripe only services US business, it accepts customers internationally, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
Because of this, anyone who hasn’t paid or has only partially paid by 3 PM EDT (12PM PDT) on October 17th will either have their Paypal invoice canceled (in the event of non-payment) or marked as “completed via other means” (in the event of a partial payment) and the remaining balance reissued via Stripe. Hopefully, fundamentally, this won’t change anything, and you will just be able to pay it through Stripe like any other online transaction.
The only issue, is that because of this, after October 17th you will not be able to get a refund through Paypal if you desire it. I hopefully haven’t given anyone a reason to request one (it’s not something that happens very often, thankfully) but if anyone even thinks they might need to request one, I urge you to contact me before the 17th.
I’ll do my best to make sure that this change is as painless as possible, but we won’t know until it happens.
Otherwise, things are going more or less as planned. Commissions are getting worked on, as are projects, and once things get caught up, hopefully things will stay steady for the foreseeable future. I’m getting stuff worked down, though, and the end of the current list is looking closer than ever before!
That’s pretty much what’s going on right now. I’m still trying to secure a printer to begin with the Various Happenings merchandise, but pages 16 and 17 of Chapter 6 are in progress and should hopefully be ready sometime this week. I want to do more Clara stuff as well, I just haven’t had the time. But that’s alright, we’re still going!
