Weekly Update! (2025-06-29) Under the Weight

Hello everyone!

So things have been a bit much the last few weeks, and will be for another week or so until at least after the holiday.

I’m quite tired, honestly, and frankly exhausted mentally, but things are still moving forward regardless.  I got to see the dentist last week, and I dealt with my state insurance paperwork, finally.  So that’s good.  I’ve got a list of things I need to get done, I just have to make some phone calls about my dentistry, and wait for the approval or rejection letter from my state to see about setting up a doctor’s appointment.  But the ball’s rolling on that.

As far as Fox Saliant Studios goes, things have been lagging behind a bit, because, well, I’m the bottleneck and I can only manage so much throughput.  I apologize for that.  Still, we’ll have an update for Various Happenings either tonight or tomorrow (it’s ready to go, I just have to upload it to the site) and there’s a lot of work to be done on the projects in general.  

The roomies want me to go ahead with the bookmarks as soon as possible, so we’ll be shifting those up in the queue so we can get that started in the next couple of weeks.  I have a bit of commission backlog, too, that needs to be sorted out, and a lot of uploads to do.  

I think for the next few months, I’m going to focus on just… getting everything squared away.  The juggling is just getting a bit too intense for my liking, and I frankly have far too many tasks to keep up with, so we’re not going to be making any new plans until everything is worked down.  

Again, I’m sorry for the delays and constant pleas for patience.   I’m doing my best, it’s just that life has a tendency to get in the way.  Hopefully, with a little bit more focus on my health and real life concerns, I’ll be in a better place to get everything straightened out in the near future.  I want to focus on improving the quality of my work time, not just working more.

If you have sent me an email, PM, or any other form of communication and I simply haven’t responded at all, it’s because I’ve been too overwhelmed to socialize, or haven’t been eager to take on new work.  It’s not a personal slight, I simply have not had the energy to manage things.  That’s on me.

Let’s try and condense things down, get them cut down to size.  This week’s a by-week, so I’m going to be getting things taken care of behind the scenes.  Wish me luck!

The heatwave has somewhat abated, though we’re still touching the 90s now and again.  Heading into what’s supposed to be the warmest part of the year, I can only hope things will be gentle, and not the muggy mess that we had a few weeks ago.

Let’s hope it at least stays that way…
