Peeps and friends alike! This last week has been a bit of a whirlwind. I’ve not been able to do much at all, due to having to watch over my roommate’s little one for a few days after their returning from their trip down south, so it’s more or less been a pretty impromptu vacation for me over the holidays, I suppose. You could look at it that way, at the very least!

Still, it is New Year’s Eve and tomorrow begins a brand new year, full of potential and interesting things to do! And I’ve got quite a few things planned, let me tell you!

As you can see, things are full up but we’ve got a plan so we’re going to go after it!

My goal for this year is to go the entire year without missing a weekly update of Various Happenings or The Adventures Of Clara Cosmos. Once I can stabilize myself there and get ahead on things, my ultimate goal is to have project updates on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday (given that they’re odd days that not many things update on, and also not generally days I’m streaming or doing things.) Lofty as it might be, I have a lot of things that I want to do and I aim to get them moving. No more stalling!

I’m also going to knock out my remaining commissions this month, hell or high water. I only have a few left, then I can pull the rest one at a time from the forms, so let’s get that done.

I was a little harried and things kind of fell apart at the end of the year there, and I’m feeling a little sickly (I probably caught what my roommate’s had,) but mentally at least, I feel like I’ve recovered a bit now, and I’m going to be able to do better heading forward. We’re almost there, so there’s no point in even thinking about quitting now!

This year is going to be a big one for us, and the comics as well. I really want to transition to doing those as my main thing so I can finally share their stories proper.

Thanks for sticking with me this long, and for all my clients, readers and fans, thank you so much for your patience. We’re gonna have some fun here soon!

Heya fox friends!

A Blessed Yuletide, Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to you and yours for whatever winter celebration you have. I am currently enjoying my relaxation for the holiday, so this will be a brief notice. I'll be taking the first part of the week off for Christmas, naturally, to rest and enjoy myself. I've been very stressed about trying to complete all the things I set out to do, and I was just working myself into a tizzy.

It's very easy to forget that you need to rest and take care of yourself to do your best work, you can't just work all the time or you'll just crash and burn. It's hard to remember in the thick of it, but when you finally do get out and about and have a moment to yourself, it becomes pretty obvious what you were doing wrong.

So, I'll be relaxing for a bit. Next year is going to be big, and I want to be in tip top shape for it. I'll probably do one last SotS before the year is out on Friday, and then we'll hit everything with gusto starting in January.

Howdy peeps!

So! Had my by-week! It wasn’t as relaxing as I’d hope it’d be, my sleep has been a bit difficult, but I did get a few strips into my buffer for Clara Cosmos, which I’m really happy about. I still need to finish more by the end of the month, but I’ll do my best to get things there. Heyo peepos!

So last week was a little rough and I’m a little out of it, so I’ll be taking my by-week this week in order to work on projects and refresh myself!  I won’t be streaming for most of the week, though I might step in for Sketch on the Spot on Friday.  We’ll see, but I’ll announce it on the Discord if I’m going to do it.  

I apologize for not doing the Growth Drive this week, as well, for basically the same reason.  It’s just been super hard to focus, and I’ve been somewhat ill, so my ability to get stuff done has been somewhat hampered.

Only five more items to go!  I’m doing my level best to get through these big projects, and hopefully I can get over the hump and knock these all out before the end of the year.  I’m hoping to at least make some good on my buffer as well (at least a month or so) before I start up the comics again.  It’s been a little touch and go, I know, and I haven’t done as well as I’d hoped, but I know I can do it.

I’ve been trying (and failing somewhat) to take better care of myself recently, and clean up things around the site as well.  I’ve got a few plans for next year, and a few things I want to accomplish, including building up the gallery and getting into a creatively productive place.

I did get a new monitor and a new keyboard, as well as more RAM for my computer recently, paid for by Sketch on the Spot and a couple donations for the Growth Drive, so I’m happy about that.

Just need to replace my tablet (which I’m almost ready to do) and get a printer now, and I’ll be good to go for future projects.  There are a few other items I’d like, but they’re less important or secondary.

I’ll try and have Round 2 for the Growth Drive out on Tuesday or Thursday, and I’ll see if I can’t get lineart done for some comics this week.  Those are my goals.  Next week things will be back to normal and we’ll slam out some of the work I owe.

We’ve had a little more progress on several pieces last week, along with another one that I was able to get checked off!  

Heading into December, my main goal for the month is to finish the list, and at least have a month buffer for both the comics by the beginning of the new year.  While I would love to have a proper three month buffer like I had hoped, if things continue to get stretched out then it might not happen, but I really want to begin again by the new year.  So, I’ll take what I can get, just to get the ball rolling.  It’s most important that the commissions be finished, after all.

Sketch on the Spot has been lovely, and it’s really helped finance this push over the last month!  This week, I’m going to be doing clean-ups for sketches from SotS, so if you’ve gotten anything, you can get it finished for the price difference between that and a colored sketch ($40).  I’m going to be opening up a thread in my Discord for people to submit the ones they want me to take care of, on or off stream, and I’ll work on those on this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (maybe not for the whole streams, but we’ll see how many upgrades there are total before I decide it one way or another.)  This will be another boost, and hopefully can facilitate everything else that's going on without too much worry.

In more normal news, it snowed today!  And while it hasn’t stuck yet, it was rather delightful.  The first serious snow I’ve seen in a long time, and I am very much looking forward to winter’s calmness this year.

Heya peeps!

Well, last week was a bit rough!  I was sick for most of it and kind of out of it in general, which means I didn’t get much done… on task, at least.  I’m sure you all saw what I did get done, but was kind of on a lark, so I’ll try to stay on task this week.  (I tend to just do whatever makes me feel better during those times, and I was getting frustrated with work (commissions, the growth drive, etc.) so I didn’t make much progress with that.)

We’ll take care of that this week, though; I’ve been doing much better and I feel better than I did physically and mentally, so we’ll make sure to get some stuff slammed out and get a move on with things.  (This month has been a bit rough in general for that.)

I had planned on working on the growth drive but I got toasted pretty early in the week, so I’ll be adding everything from this week’s views and such to the totals (it won’t change much), and since I closed the poll early, Subscribers who want to add their points for the first week who didn’t get a chance can just PM me, or choose the option from the next poll when it’s released.  (But I was going to do that anyway, so that doesn’t really change anything, either.)

I apologize for the delay, but tripping straight out of the gate is so very much like me, so let’s just get past it and carry on!  I’ll work on it during a stream or two this week, and make sure it gets done.

We’re still sitting at seven pieces, most of which are in some stage of completion.  While I don’t expect to finish everything by the end of the month, I hope to, at least, knock out two things by the end of the week.

By the end of the year, I hope to have everything finished, and enough of a buffer on my comics to begin regular updates at the new year.  I was hoping by the end of November, but being sick kind of put a damper on that.

This week, of course, is Thanksgiving, so I’ll be taking Thursday off, but the MWF streams should continue as usual.  Sketch on the Spot has been a great success and I will continue refining it a bit (I’m going a tad overboard, as usual, so I want to streamline a bit and get more pieces out so that more people get a shot each week.)  Hopefully once I get settled in, everything will start to go a bit more smoothly.

I’ll see about updating the Discount Bin and adjusting things here and there to make them more SotS friendly as well, and the SotS Backlog Stream will be on the 27th of November (one week from tomorrow) so if anyone wants to get their sketches from this month cleaned up, lemme know.
