Sorry for the late update again! Still working on getting all the invoices out which is kinda stressful, but that's done for today at least! Have some uploads to do, still, but that's alright!

As you all know, I’ve got my yearly Halloween sale going on! We're half-way to our goal on orders, which is pretty awesome! Now I just have to fulfill all of them! XD

I’ll be working on those on Fridays throughout September and October, with the number of streams picking up in October as we approach the day of spoops!

Hey peeps!

Sorry for the late update today! Was busy getting all the invoices out and I’ve been kind of low energy today, so I’ve been napping a lot. But here we are!

If you haven’t seen, I’ve got my yearly Halloween sale going on! My goal is once again 100 orders this year and we’re a third of the way there on the first weekend! Pretty sweet! I’ve sent out the first batch of invoices already for everyone who’s verified their e-mail for me. Starting next week I’m going to be spending the majority of my time working on Various Happenings Ch. 5. I’m super excited so I hope you all will like it as much as I do! It’ll take a bit of work, but I’m right there, I can taste it!

Hey peeps!

Well, it seems that my old commission log is done, which means it’s time to take new ones! I’m going to be going down my on-call list to ask people about jobs they wanted me to do, leaning towards the sketch stuff (for now) that I can complete pretty quickly without worrying too much about it.

Aside from that, I’ve got two things I’m focusing on over the next couple of months.

The first is getting Chapter 5 of Various Happenings out the door by the 8th of October. I’m sure you’ve seen me in the streams working on it, and that will continue as I try to wrap up the unfinished asset work and get everything in an acceptable state for release by that date! It’s been a long time, but I can feel it coming to a close and I hope what I’ve learned will help me produce much faster in the future.

As for the second thing… well, it’s that time of year again!

Yes! After three years, Spooky Sketches return with Spooky Fun ‘21!

I’ll be running my (hopefully) yearly Halloween sale and offering pin-up sketches for $21.00 USD per character.

You can check more info out over at any of my galleries! I’ll be working on them as the months go on, with streams ramping up in October so stay-tuned for that!

No news on the dental stuff yet, I’ve been having a hard time getting in touch with anyone. But that’s alright, I’m following a lead this Friday and going on a day trip to see if I can ask for a consultation in person. If not, I’ve got a few other alternative avenues I can take.

In addition, now that it’s up on the schedule and that, I can finally announce that I’m going to be a godparent! My roommates Dicydico and Tigre are going to be having a little tatertots (it’s been going for a couple of months so far) and while things are still very much in flux, we’ve started to figure out the medical bills and such, so this will be a good way to bolster our funds so that I can contribute to that!

Things are bound to be a bit crazy in the future, but honestly I feel more driven than I have in a long time! So there’s that at least!

Hey, peeps!

Okay! So, last week of August slash first week of September. Time to get in gear! I’m a little behind what I thought I would be, but not by much! Just need one more stream to finish up Shaze’s work and I should have my commission list cleared out completely!

At that point, I have an on-call list that I’m going to be poking in on. I’ll be vetting things from that list and taking them on one at a time as I see fit over the next few months.

In the meantime it’s almost the Spookiest of months, and it’s been some time since I had a Halloween sale, so I might just have some details for y’all next week, providing I get a chance to get up some examples.

I still have Various Happenings Ch. 5 set for October 8th. Once I get done with these commissions, and get the rules set up for my Halloween sale, I’m going to be going all in on it over the next month. Hopefully I’ll be able to pace everything well enough and it’ll all come together nicely. I doubt there won’t be some stumbling along the way, but we’ll see what happens!

As far as commissions overall, I’m probably going to start leaning back towards sketch commissions since they’re more in the moment and faster. I like doing pin-ups and the really complicated pieces like comics or huge multi-character epics just take a lot of time to do when you have to do like two dozen of them. Alternatively, I can just not take as many commissions, which is something I’m probably going to do in the future since I got halfway through my last batch and kind of burnt out my enthusiasm really bad.

But, that’s my issue to get over and I’m just about there.

Man, I wish someone wrote a manual to all this crap so I could just do things properly and not have to stumble through everything all the time.

Medical stuff is also in the works (both mine and my roommates’) so there are going to be some financial pressures pretty soon, but that’s going to be in part what a lot of the Halloween stuff and future regular commission work will be going towards. We still don’t know, just yet, but hopefully sometime this week we’ll have a better idea of things!

Hi everyone!

Not much to talk about, going to do a final push to finish up my commissions this week as we figure out the financial situation we’re in on the upcoming expenses.

I’ve decided hell or high water, Chapter 5 of Various Happenings is going to be out by October 8th, just a day shy of a full year of hiatus. From then on, I’ll be back to setting deadlines for it and HOPEFULLY, things will be a bit better. I’ve had some people offer to act as editors and brought on some proof readers and such to help me out so we’ll see where that goes. Now that I know what is needed, hopefully it’ll start coming out a lot faster.

Things will hopefully get back to a more regular production schedule from that point onward.

Not much else to say! Things are moving forward but there’s still a lot of details I don’t know just yet, so I’ll let y’all know when I know!

Hey peeps,

How are all of you doing?

So as of last Saturday, I am 35 years old. I’ve been out and about as an “adult” for about a decade and a half or so, give or take, and Fox Saliant has been around for most of that time, so it’s really weird to think about it sometimes.

I’ve been ruminating on the last few years and the sheer exhaustion I’ve felt. Hell, right now I’m pretty physically worn out myself and I haven’t really even done anything today aside from the drawing for the update. But, thinking on it, it’s time to get more focused.

Big changes are coming up in my household, and money is going to be required. I’m going to have to get my ass in gear, and finish what I’ve got so that I can move on to other things. I’ve got to focus, and while jumping from project to project is fine and keeps things interesting, if I take on more than I can reasonably finish, then eventually I just run out of things I’m not bored of and it just becomes a tiring slog where I’m fighting to find things to distract myself. So it’s time to hunker down and get things done.

First and foremost, I’m going to be knocking out the last of these commissions. I simply took too many last time because people were excited, and hell I was excited to have the cash, but I need to pace myself.

Next, we’re going to finish Various Happenings, Chapter 5. I know I’ve said before that I made some mistakes and took on way too much work to begin with, and that’s pretty much the case here. So we’re just going to sit down and do it and get it over with so I can present it to you all. I hope the wait is worth it, I really do, but mostly I just want to start moving again.

Next, after that, I want to finish the prelude to one of my other projects that’s in progress. A little all ages comic called The Adventures of Clara Cosmos. I don’t know how many of you will enjoy it, but I have high hopes.

From that point onward, I’m going to be trying to balance project work with taking on paid jobs. When I’m focusing on projects, we’ll be doing Sketch on the Spot to bouy the expenses coming up, and between major checkpoints, I’ll be posting up commissions as needed.

Mainly I just need to get back in gear. I’d gotten pretty wrecked, honestly, and it’s taken me a while to be able to physically and mentally even cope with doing my job again, as well as being artist.

I don’t upload much anymore, though I have a huge backlog of things that need to be uploaded. I take way too long on getting my paid work done. I’m disorganized and addled, and I’m just… tired all the time.

So, I’ll be trying to address these things one at a time, as I go. I’m going to try and start taking better care of myself, little by little. And I’ve got some medical stuff coming up (along with other things in the household that aren’t related to me that I can’t talk about just yet, but will need my care and attention) that’s both going to need my focus as well as my monetary support.

So, right now, let’s just get things in gear and get the list checked off.

I’m mostly writing this as kind of… a pep talk for myself. You all have been very patient with me, and I’m honestly surprised. I’m glad, but I want to do better and produce more for you, and these last couple of years have been kind of a dearth in content both in my job aspect and for fun. I’m trying my best, but it’s hard sometimes.

Anyway, thank you for being there, and thank you for reading. I’m still here, and things are still going, and we’ll get there one way or another.

Hey peeps!

Been a bit, sorry about the quiet. Just been kind of up and down lately. My health has been kind of wobbly (nothing too bad, just haven’t been feeling well and my reoccurring infections have come back recently) and there’s been a lot of stuff going on at home that I’ve been having to divert my attention to.

I’m trying to fix my schedule and be a bit more consistent with my sleep, plus I have a dentist appointment next Wednesday (August 11), to see about getting some x-rays and getting a final estimate on how much it’ll be to take care of everything. A lot going on.

Not to mention, as of Saturday, August 7th, I will be thirty-five years old. Mentally, sometimes, I don’t feel any older than I ever have, but sometimes I’m just really friggin’ tired. It’s been a bit too much now and again, lately, and I’ve never quite caught up from the big shake-up a few years ago, but I’m doing my best.

My projects are slowly coming along. I’m hoping that Various Happenings Ch.5 will be finished this month, though I’m not making any promises. It’s been an up and down rollercoaster of enthusiasm and exhaustion, but the key to getting to the end is getting past where most artists would quit. I’ve been there a few times, so if I can keep shrugging that off, then we’ll see it eventually. I’ve learned a lot of things about what I’m doing, so hopefully, in the future, I’ll be able to use those to my advantage.

There are other things that are coming along as well, though they’re going slowly and I haven’t really put them out in the forefront yet, so I’ll keep chipping away until they’re actually ready.

It’s a little disheartening, but I’m trying my best.

I’ve got three commissions in the works, one of which is just about finished; then I have one I have to follow up on before I’m done. With my attention divided in so many directions, it’s been a bit of a time getting everything taken care of.

But we’ll get there!

Maybe I can get something nice for my birthday, like… pants or something.

Anyway, more or less, I’m working and it’s taking a while, but hopefully, soon, things will start showing up as I finish them!

Hey peeps!

Things are going along pretty well! Going to take a little break this week from VH for my own sake and work on other things a little bit. I'm getting VERY close to the end, but I've been getting exhausted and panicky on it, so I'll let it sit for a week or so before throwing myself back into it. 

I've finished a lot of the components and all I have left to do is the rest of the grunt work and polishing! The first third is completely finished and the latter two thirds are mostly done save for some assets, so that's fantastic.

It's so close, though, I can feel it! I can't wait until I can finally show it off!

Otherwise, things are happening! Not much more to tell than that, so we'll just leave the poxes to their work. ^v^

Hey peeps!

Not much to talk about!

I'm feeling a good bit better and I'm feeling more productive as of late! Hopefully that'll keep up and I'll be able to finally convalesce properly.

Because of the holiday and my roomate, Dicy,’s birthday, I’ll be only doing one stream this week. Hopefully I’ll make more headway on the commissions I’ve got. I was pretty happy with my work last week, so let’s keep that train going. I’m getting closer on VH Ch.5, too, so I’m feeling it shouldn’t be too long now. Maybe this month will be it!

Once I clear out my commissions, I can start rounding up the leftover Patreon stuff and what I owe, if anyone wants to claim those and soon, I hope to have my slate clean, finally!
