Hey everyone!

So it’s been a few weeks and let me tell you, it’s been a bit rough. Starting a couple of weeks ago, I came down sick with a chest cold. It really wasn’t that big of a deal, but there were days when I just couldn’t breath really well, and I had a hard time sleeping, which lead me to missing that week’s update because on Monday I just wasn’t up to working on it or doing any of the updating.  

Really, it’s been hard to work on a lot of stuff over the last couple of weeks. But I figured after a couple of days, I’d feel better and I’d still stream anyway, so it wouldn’t be that bad. Then on that following Friday, I came down with a toothache that night and suddenly I was very ill.

Not only did I have a toothache that pain killers didn’t seem to be effective on, I had constant drainage which made me unable to breathe and was dehydrating me to the point that whenever I would try and drink water, it would immediately turn to mucus in the back of my throat. There were times on Saturday and Sunday when I felt like I might actually have to go to the hospital.

So last week, I just completely took the week off. I was too sick to do anything until about Wednesday and then I finally started feeling better. I know, because I started REALLY wanting to draw things, so I kind of went nuts doodling for a few days.

But, now I feel… okay. The cough is still there, and I still have moments where I’m suddenly tired or a bit achey, but I feel a bit better overall, and more or less capable of doing things. I still get urpy a bit and my stomach still gets a bit upset from the drainage now and again, but I feel like I’m doing better.

The update is a bit late, I understand, but I had to work on some spreadsheets and such to get everything organized before getting this up to date.

I’m going to do my best to get everything taken care of from here on out. I’ve still got my commission work on the hook, but I’m going to push and try and get that done. Then, I’ve got Various Happenings which is still being worked on. Frankly, I’d like to put out what I’ve got, but it’s still not complete, so I just have to keep on trucking until it’s finally done.

Other projects are being worked on, certainly, and I’ve got a few things on the table that I’m really excited about, but for now, I want to clear out all of the dust from earlier this year and try to finally get things set straight.

It’s been a long few years since the end of 2018… and life’s been rough. I’m hoping to break into a new era very soon. But for now, we’ll just keep at it.

Hey everyone!

So I went to the dentist and we had a chat and they had a look at the inside of my mouth. I've been set up for x-rays and a deep examination, but that won't be until August 11th, unless there's a cancellation in the meantime. Hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later, but right now that's the date we're looking at!

Commissions came along well last week and I've started most of them by now! Hopefully we'll be able to get a couple knocked down this week and I can start poking people on the on-call list and see about getting THAT whittled down, too!

I've been working on some projects that I don't really have much to say about just yet! I kind of got burnt out on VH towards the beginning of may but I think I'm back there again, and I'm ready to go!

I eam eager to show off some of the current developments, and I hope you all will like them, so we'll see if we can't get it finished, soon! Hopefully future updates will be much much faster coming, though, since I've learned a lot about the systems I'm using.

Otherwise I'm just trying to rest my wrist when I can and pace myself on all these things!

Summer's getting into full swing now, and it's about time for the really hot days to start, so I hope you're all taking care of yourselves~!

Hey peeps!

Not a lot to report things are still going as they've been!

My Mermay streams were a success and I'll have the fruits of those posted up just after I finish posting up this post right here!

I've got a dentist visit tomorrow, though it's just another consultation. I'm more confident about this one, but we'll see what happens when I meet them in person!

 And then... more work! Mostly on commissions and Various Happenings! Hopefully we can get a bit more headway this week on both!

Hey peeps!

Not a lot to report on this week! Stuff going on behind the scenes but nothing really to show at the moment! Same as last week pretty much!

Hey there, peeps!

What’s there to say? I’m bouncing around between things at the moment, trying to get as much done as I can. Things are still coming along as they’ve been, slowly but surely.

My hand seems to be healing well enough. I get some pain in it, but it’s not been enough to keep me up or stop me from drawing. Got a compression glove today to see if that helps!

I got a referral to another dentist. The last one seemed really rushy and I felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there, but they were kind enough to take their time to speak with me and gave me someone else to talk to, so I’ll be setting up an appointment with them soon. Hopefully we can get things to move forward a bit easier in the future.

Commissions are coming along and everything is stable at the moment! I’m just trucking along as fast as I can manage.

So yeah, just trying to push some of the stuff I’m juggling to the end while keeping everything together. There’s nothing pushing on my tremendously, it’s just that my health is a little rickety so I can’t push as hard as I used to at the moment. Hopefully that changes soon.

Hey peeps!

Things are going pretty well! Commissions are chugging along and though I’m going to have to push a bit, I’m hoping to have my current batch cleared out by the beginning of June. A month or so later than I expected, but that’s how it goes sometimes. I'm going to put in more effort to making sure things get posted as well this month. I've got the batch poster in Postybirb and all that, so I'll start loading things in and chipping away at when I have time. Might set aside a few days just for that in the coming weeks.

I’m also hoping to have Ch.5 of Various Happenings ready sometime in June. I’m really trying hard to get it all put together for y’all as soon as I can manage, and things are coming along well enough. It’s just a lot of drawing, that’s all!

Stuff is moving again with my teeth and I’ve got an appointment for May 10th for a consultation and seeing if I can get some price points and recommendations from one of the local dentists. Hopefully by my birthday this year, I’ll have everything all fixed up and a fresh new set of chompers ready to go!

Arm is still hurting a bit, but I know it’ll take a few weeks to heal completely. I’m just trying to not overwork it, and while I’m doing my best to draw as much as I can, I’m taking frequent breaks and trying to stop or pause when I start to get twinges. Hopefully it clears up soon, but I’ve got some money saved up just in case I have to go get an x-ray or something.

Hey everyone!

Been a little bit! Sorry for disappearing last week, but I was a doof and smacked my hand against a wall late the week before and I surmise that I cracked my pinkie metacarpal since it was very tender and swollen for like a week. (I’ve had broken bones before and that’s pretty much what it felt like.) So I decided to stay off it, along with getting my second round of vaccine last Monday.

I had planned to only relax for three days or so but my hand, surprisingly, needed more time to recover so I decided to sit out the entire week. I was kind of sickly and super tired, too, so I ended up not posting any announcements (aside from in my personal discord) so I apologize for that. I was just super out of it for most of the week for one reason or another.

I am however fully vaccinated now and my wrist and hand are feeling somewhat better. I’m still doing wrist exercises to keep everything in good working order and I’ll soon be making a dentist appointment to get my tooth work back on track after several months of no progress, so that’ll be good, too.

I apologize for all the starting and stopping. Anyone who’s been around me for a while knows that sometimes things just kind of skid to a halt due to my health or something random happening, but I’ll get everything together and wrapped up soon enough.

Various Happenings is going in fits and starts, currently. I’m making good progress, but I don’t think I’ll endeavor to make an entire chapter in a single update again unless the story really calls for it. I’ve learned a lot from the process, though! My current goal is to have it released by the end of May, but as always, I’m not making any promises on the matter because I don’t know how this is going to go just yet.

I’m trying to juggle that and finishing off the rest of my commissions, which is going well though I think I sorely overestimated by ability to work on a large block of commissions, and simply took way too many the last time around. It’s alright, though, we’ll get through them!

Lastly, I’m going to be going back and focusing more on my galleries in the future. I’ve got a lot of stuff to post still and I’ve been growing tired of social media as a platform. Twitter is just tiring at the best of times, and while Pillowfort might be better once it relaunches (if it relaunches) I’m not going to hold my breath until something is actually somewhat established. So we’ll see how things go in the future, but I’m going to be trying to get my work out there a bit more on the old galleries from now on, which means I have some catching up to do.

Hey everybody!

Hope you’re all doing alright!

Things have been okay here. I feel like I’ve gotten back on the horse a bit and progress is happening! I was still a bit psyched out about my work, but last week was really good and I’m pulling things back together. I just have to make sure that I’m keeping proper track of everything that I need to and want to do.

I know I’ve been slow in replying to people, (I’ll set something aside for later and then just… forget it exists for a week, not out of avoidance but just things slipping my mind) so if you send me something and I don’t reply in a week, go ahead and poke me again. n.n;

I’m trying to keep on top of things but I still haven’t 100% gotten back to where I was before my big burnout, so things might be a little rocky for a bit.

One big thing that’s been fun and helped me out is moving my streams from Picarto to Jottor. There’s no chat, but the stream works and is stable, so I’ve moved my chat to Discord! If you want to participate in SotS or you just want to hang out, feel free to stop on by!

Various Happenings has been moving along pretty well! I got hung up there for a bit, but things are proceeding apace now and I have hopes that they’ll accelerate as I get more skilled at the current format!

I have other things I’m chipping away on, too, and I’m hoping as I check some of these things off, that they’ll start coming out faster.

Lastly (but not lastly) I’m getting my second round of vaccinations next week! So woo! Hopefully that won’t make me feel like trash for most of the week. XD

Hi, everyone!

Sorry for being absent for a couple of weeks there… I had to take some time out for myself. I had gotten really sick a couple of weeks ago (I actually had to stay in bed for a whole day) and just couldn’t concentrate on work at all. As I was convalescing I pushed myself a bit too hard and was having bad anxiety attacks and ended up with a sort of mini breakdown at the beginning of that week, so I decided that I needed to just take time out and recover myself a bit before I could continue working on things.

I was vaccinated on Monday (which I have a terrible fear of needles, so that was very stressful leading up into it, but afterwards I felt a lot better and less stressed out), and I have another round on the 19th, then I’ll be completely inoculated against Covid! Which is pretty good! I don’t plan to stop masking up when I’m out, for other’s safety and piece of mind, but I’ll feel a lot better about just being out and about in general.

Because of having to take the time off, I’m a little behind on the commissions I’ve got, so I’m going to try and work really hard this month to get everything straightened out. In the future, I think I’ll have much smaller batches, from like three to six, rather than the large one I took this last time around. That way the turnover will be higher and I can take time between them to rest instead of getting worn down.

I’m still working on Various Happenings, and it’s coming along well! Sorry for this big gap, but hopefully things will be faster in the future and y’all will enjoy the updates once they begin again!

I know things have been slow, but things are going alright, so I’ll be back on the horse this week, hopefully, and knock a few of these things I’ve had on the table out finally!

Hey there, peeps! A few things this week...

So lately I've been rather... unimpressed with SubscribeStar's tools and ability to do things.

I've only ever had two people on there (thank you for trying it out with me, Chacumera and Mechaghost) but frankly because I need a minimum number of subscribers to use monthly recurring billing (?!) and it doesn't allow me to track benefits, even with the more lax posting rules, it's just not... been very good?

On top of that, it's the only site that I've tried with PostyBirb that simply does not work, no matter what I do to try and get it to work (which makes sense because the API is shit as far as I can tell.)

So... I'm going to go ahead and simply stop posting to that account (I can't freeze it, unfortunately, and the only other option I have is to delete it, which I don't want to do in case anyone wants to go back and look at things.). I would recommend whoever wants to pledge, to do so via Patreon, or you know, support me by getting a SotS once in a while or something. I also still have a Ko-Fi but I'm not really active through there since they did all the gold crap and started heavily policing NSFW.

Hopefully, this summer, once Various Happenings Ch.5 comes out and we start really getting back into that, I'll... yanno... start doing more merch (with a better split) so that you'll all be able to support me that way. There's also Paypal if you wanna send anything my way, but no pressure or anything.

I'm doing fine right now, and if I need to come up with any cash, I'll let you all know as usual. So yeah.

As far as Various Happenings is going, yesterday was the 6th year anniversary of the project and I have to say, it's... been a lot! A lot of work, a lot of expectations, a lot of fun and a lot of pain.

I don't really have anything... interesting to say or show at the moment. Chapter 5 is continuing at pace, and I work on it in between working on other things or just venting whatever creative desire I have, so I hope that it will be ready for you all, soon. I know some of the recent side art has made people really excited and I'm glad about that.

I don't really have much to say except, you know... thanks for sticking with me! I'm going to keep going no matter how long it takes, but hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.

Commission work is proceeding at pace, finished two pieces last week and I’m happy about that, hopefully the others will move on quickly if I can focus!
