Hey everyone!

Been a little bit! Sorry for disappearing last week, but I was a doof and smacked my hand against a wall late the week before and I surmise that I cracked my pinkie metacarpal since it was very tender and swollen for like a week. (I’ve had broken bones before and that’s pretty much what it felt like.) So I decided to stay off it, along with getting my second round of vaccine last Monday.

I had planned to only relax for three days or so but my hand, surprisingly, needed more time to recover so I decided to sit out the entire week. I was kind of sickly and super tired, too, so I ended up not posting any announcements (aside from in my personal discord) so I apologize for that. I was just super out of it for most of the week for one reason or another.

I am however fully vaccinated now and my wrist and hand are feeling somewhat better. I’m still doing wrist exercises to keep everything in good working order and I’ll soon be making a dentist appointment to get my tooth work back on track after several months of no progress, so that’ll be good, too.

I apologize for all the starting and stopping. Anyone who’s been around me for a while knows that sometimes things just kind of skid to a halt due to my health or something random happening, but I’ll get everything together and wrapped up soon enough.

Various Happenings is going in fits and starts, currently. I’m making good progress, but I don’t think I’ll endeavor to make an entire chapter in a single update again unless the story really calls for it. I’ve learned a lot from the process, though! My current goal is to have it released by the end of May, but as always, I’m not making any promises on the matter because I don’t know how this is going to go just yet.

I’m trying to juggle that and finishing off the rest of my commissions, which is going well though I think I sorely overestimated by ability to work on a large block of commissions, and simply took way too many the last time around. It’s alright, though, we’ll get through them!

Lastly, I’m going to be going back and focusing more on my galleries in the future. I’ve got a lot of stuff to post still and I’ve been growing tired of social media as a platform. Twitter is just tiring at the best of times, and while Pillowfort might be better once it relaunches (if it relaunches) I’m not going to hold my breath until something is actually somewhat established. So we’ll see how things go in the future, but I’m going to be trying to get my work out there a bit more on the old galleries from now on, which means I have some catching up to do.

Hey everybody!

Hope you’re all doing alright!

Things have been okay here. I feel like I’ve gotten back on the horse a bit and progress is happening! I was still a bit psyched out about my work, but last week was really good and I’m pulling things back together. I just have to make sure that I’m keeping proper track of everything that I need to and want to do.

I know I’ve been slow in replying to people, (I’ll set something aside for later and then just… forget it exists for a week, not out of avoidance but just things slipping my mind) so if you send me something and I don’t reply in a week, go ahead and poke me again. n.n;

I’m trying to keep on top of things but I still haven’t 100% gotten back to where I was before my big burnout, so things might be a little rocky for a bit.

One big thing that’s been fun and helped me out is moving my streams from Picarto to Jottor. There’s no chat, but the stream works and is stable, so I’ve moved my chat to Discord! If you want to participate in SotS or you just want to hang out, feel free to stop on by!

Various Happenings has been moving along pretty well! I got hung up there for a bit, but things are proceeding apace now and I have hopes that they’ll accelerate as I get more skilled at the current format!

I have other things I’m chipping away on, too, and I’m hoping as I check some of these things off, that they’ll start coming out faster.

Lastly (but not lastly) I’m getting my second round of vaccinations next week! So woo! Hopefully that won’t make me feel like trash for most of the week. XD

Hi, everyone!

Sorry for being absent for a couple of weeks there… I had to take some time out for myself. I had gotten really sick a couple of weeks ago (I actually had to stay in bed for a whole day) and just couldn’t concentrate on work at all. As I was convalescing I pushed myself a bit too hard and was having bad anxiety attacks and ended up with a sort of mini breakdown at the beginning of that week, so I decided that I needed to just take time out and recover myself a bit before I could continue working on things.

I was vaccinated on Monday (which I have a terrible fear of needles, so that was very stressful leading up into it, but afterwards I felt a lot better and less stressed out), and I have another round on the 19th, then I’ll be completely inoculated against Covid! Which is pretty good! I don’t plan to stop masking up when I’m out, for other’s safety and piece of mind, but I’ll feel a lot better about just being out and about in general.

Because of having to take the time off, I’m a little behind on the commissions I’ve got, so I’m going to try and work really hard this month to get everything straightened out. In the future, I think I’ll have much smaller batches, from like three to six, rather than the large one I took this last time around. That way the turnover will be higher and I can take time between them to rest instead of getting worn down.

I’m still working on Various Happenings, and it’s coming along well! Sorry for this big gap, but hopefully things will be faster in the future and y’all will enjoy the updates once they begin again!

I know things have been slow, but things are going alright, so I’ll be back on the horse this week, hopefully, and knock a few of these things I’ve had on the table out finally!

Hey there, peeps! A few things this week...

So lately I've been rather... unimpressed with SubscribeStar's tools and ability to do things.

I've only ever had two people on there (thank you for trying it out with me, Chacumera and Mechaghost) but frankly because I need a minimum number of subscribers to use monthly recurring billing (?!) and it doesn't allow me to track benefits, even with the more lax posting rules, it's just not... been very good?

On top of that, it's the only site that I've tried with PostyBirb that simply does not work, no matter what I do to try and get it to work (which makes sense because the API is shit as far as I can tell.)

So... I'm going to go ahead and simply stop posting to that account (I can't freeze it, unfortunately, and the only other option I have is to delete it, which I don't want to do in case anyone wants to go back and look at things.). I would recommend whoever wants to pledge, to do so via Patreon, or you know, support me by getting a SotS once in a while or something. I also still have a Ko-Fi but I'm not really active through there since they did all the gold crap and started heavily policing NSFW.

Hopefully, this summer, once Various Happenings Ch.5 comes out and we start really getting back into that, I'll... yanno... start doing more merch (with a better split) so that you'll all be able to support me that way. There's also Paypal if you wanna send anything my way, but no pressure or anything.

I'm doing fine right now, and if I need to come up with any cash, I'll let you all know as usual. So yeah.

As far as Various Happenings is going, yesterday was the 6th year anniversary of the project and I have to say, it's... been a lot! A lot of work, a lot of expectations, a lot of fun and a lot of pain.

I don't really have anything... interesting to say or show at the moment. Chapter 5 is continuing at pace, and I work on it in between working on other things or just venting whatever creative desire I have, so I hope that it will be ready for you all, soon. I know some of the recent side art has made people really excited and I'm glad about that.

I don't really have much to say except, you know... thanks for sticking with me! I'm going to keep going no matter how long it takes, but hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.

Commission work is proceeding at pace, finished two pieces last week and I’m happy about that, hopefully the others will move on quickly if I can focus!

Hey peeps!

Not much to report this week! Made pretty good headway in Various Happenings Ch.5 and things are really starting to come together for it. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer, I just have a lot of stuff to do. Gonna try and post up a bunch of work and see about getting those all cleaned out.

Got word back from the insurance company, they said they weren’t going to cover the partials unless I could provide proof I was insured when one of my lower canines was extracted several years ago, which I can’t because we paid for it directly so… We’re gonna go searching around and see if we can get better prices for these things.

I’m not going to be rushed anymore, and we’ll avoid being screwed as best we can in the future.

I’ll keep letting y’all know what’s going on, but for now, I’m okay. I’m trying to kick the little bit of sick I have going on, lately, and hopefully I’ll feel better soon.

Going to be focusing on commissions this week, taking it easy and getting a bunch started so that we can get them knocked out over March, at least some of them!

Not much else to say! Just the normal stuff going on! Getting warm again! @_@

Hey peeps!

Been hard at work on commission work and projects, and things are coming along rather nicely!  This week I’m going to be focusing on my personal projects, save for Sketch on the Spot on Friday.

I’ll see about getting more of Chapter 5 of Various Happenings done… I’ve got about a quarter of the total stuff done that I need to finish the chapter, but a lot of it is in an “in progress” state, so it might wrap up really quickly and we might make some good strides over the week.  I’ll keep y’all posted about that as it happens.  Also Clara stuff, if I’m in the mood (I haven’t really been in that direction lately, but I can feel myself coming around again, so, we’ll see what happens.)

Next week, we’ll be flipping things on its head and I’ll be doing commission work all week with a free draw on Friday, so look forward to that!

Nothing new to report otherwise;  My health has been decent, and there’ haven’t been any new developments on the front with my dental insurance.  I’ll give them another week or two, and then start poking around at different establishments to get a second opinion.  If I can just get the insurance to pay half for the equipment that’s already been produced, then I’ll just take it, but I’m not comfortable paying $2000+ for something that I don’t think costs that, and something that I think should be covered based on our prior agreements.

So, we’ll see what happens with that.  If it comes down to it, I’ll just keep commissions flowing and pay it off, but I’d rather have the insurance do what it’s supposed to.

I’m planning on, once VH gets into its new presentation mode and it gets started again in earnest, creating some new merch for you all.  So T-shirts, bookmarks, art cards, stickers, etc.   Should be fun, and I hope things work out in that direction.  I’d like to slow commissions as my regular source of income, but right now, things are going okay and I’m not super pressured.  You all have been lovely, and I’m happy to be back to work.

Other than that, everything’s good!  Just keepin’ on keepin’ on.  I don’t think I have anything else to talk about right now.  Everything is in sort of an “in progress” state, so I’m not going to be releasing anything weird or complete at the moment, but I have a lot of stuff in the pipes, so we’ll see when it starts to manifest.

Anyway, thanks everyone for reading!  I hope you’re doing alright.  It’s really rainy lately and it’s been alright, though we have had a few storm scares.  Still, the longer the heat can stay away, the better (at least until I can move up north).

Hey peeps!

I guess I'm on Newgrounds now, too! I had this account, so I figured I might as well use it.

Not a lot to say this week!  Just working on chipping away at my commissions and trying to work on Various Happenings and Clara when I can!

The tooth situation is still the same, sadly!  It'll probably be a few weeks before I make any

progress on that, though I might set up an appointment with another dentist to try

and get a second opinion on my whole situation.

Other than that, just tackling my work as best I can!  n.n

Starting to warm up a little, and still extremely wet. XD

Got some books to look at and made a chart to keep track of my reading list for the future,

so hopefully I'll be able to put in some hours actually getting some inspiration for once!
